AMOEBA AND EARTHWISE ANNOUNCE POSITIVE EFFICACY RESULTS FOR THE FIRST FIELD
TEST IN THE UNITED STATES

Lyon, July 11th, 2018 - AMOEBA (FR0011051598 - AMEBA), producer of a biological
biocide capable of eliminating the risk of waterborne bacteria, announces today
the positive results of the first field test implemented in the United States.

The field test took place at a worldwide food packaging manufacturing plant
based in Illinois, in collaboration with Earthwise Environmental Inc.,
historical partner of AMOEBA in the U.S.A.

The BIOMEBA biological biocide was injected in the cooling circuit over a
period of eight months to replace the existing chlorine chemical biocide
treatment. Earthwise provided the onsite technical service and testing support
that included weekly testing of numerous biological tests including
Legionella.

The results show a much higher efficacy level for BIOMEBA than for the chemical
treatment previously used: the measures indicated a decrease by 5 of the
biofilm's (bioslime*) thickness in the circuit. The analyses also show a
reduction of the total bacterial flora by a factor of 100 (from 105 a
103 CFU/ mL) as well as a total control of the legionella bacteria.

biological biocide. The ability to control Legionella and microbiological
growth without using hazardous and toxic biocides offers an opportunity for a
sustainable and environmentally sound approach to our water management
programs " said Robert Miller, President of Earthwise.

" Those conclusive efficacy results will be submitted to the EPA as part of our
regulatory dossier submission and we hope that they will be able to influence
positively our dossier. The other field tests currently taking place in the
U.S.A. would seem to reach a similar conclusion with regards to their efficacy
level. In addition, this field test is also the first trial carried out with
our new fully automated injection cabinet, BIOMEBOX ", added Fabrice PLASSON,
Managing Director of AMOEBA.

*bioslime definition: a slime-like growth layer of microorganisms (such as
bacteria) inside pipes and fixtures.
