Meyer Burger Technology Ltd: Shareholder group around Sentis Capital dissolves
The Group has achieved its most important goal by electing two shareholder representatives to the Meyer Burger (MBT) Board of Directors.
Sentis Capital, the Teutonia Opportunity Fund and a group of private shareholders formed a group at the end of July 2019. In view of the imminent strategic realignment of Meyer Burger Technology Ltd, their goal was to involve the owners in important decisions. With the election of Mark Kerekes and Urs Fähndrich at the Annual General Meeting of MBT on 13 May 2020, this goal has now been achieved.
The shareholder group is convinced that by setting up its own cell and module production facilities in Europe, MBT would significantly benefit from the enormous lead of its own Heterojunction/SmartWire technology and the associated economic advantages, thus creating significant value for all shareholders.
