SAINT-GOBAIN DIVESTS ITS GLASS PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION BUSINESSES IN NORWAY
AND SWEDEN
Saint-Gobain has sold its regional glass business Glassolutions Norway and
Sweden to Mimir Invest AB, a Swedish investment firm. The divestment will be
effective January 11, 2019 and the divested businesses will continue to use the
Glassolutions brand under a franchise agreement.
Glassolutions Norway and Sweden manufactures and distributes glass products.
This business has delivered an annual turnover of around EUR35 million and
employs 170 people. Saint-Gobain will remain present in the region as a
supplier of float glass, insulated glass units and high performance glass.
This disposal is part of the Group's announced objective to divest businesses
representing sales of at least EUR3 billion by the end of 2019.
