Voltalia eyes further developments in Egypt and opens a local office in Cairo

Voltalia (Euronext Paris, ISIN code: FR0011995588), an international player in
renewable energies, announces today the opening of an office in Egypt to
accelerate new project development in the country after the win of a first
32 MW project in 2017

The new Egyptian office is Voltalia's third office in Africa, after Rabat in
Morocco and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Located in Cairo, it will host a local
team supported by Voltalia's international development teams as well as
in-house wind and solar experts.

With strong renewable resources, Egypt has set ambitious national targets: the
national plan aims at developing more than 13 GW of renewable capacity,
including 2.3 GW of solar and 7.2 GW of wind. Given its strong track record in
both energies, Voltalia is ideally positioned to make the most of Egypt's
available resources, for its own account or for the benefit of its
international clients. The company has already won a 32 MW solar project in
2017, which was initially developed by Martifer Solar's teams.

"Egypt has a very strong potential for renewables both in solar and in wind.
Our ambition is to develop a portfolio of 800 MW in the next 5 to 8 years, for
ourselves and for third-party clients who show a great interest for investments
in renewable power plants in the country. With this new local presence, we are
also in a good position to provide EPC and O&M services to our clients in
Egypt", declares Sébastien Clerc, CEO of Voltalia.
