Fürth (Germany), 03.01.2025 – The Wishing Tree campaign at the FLAiR experience centre in the German city of Fürth for the children and young people of the Lebenshilfe Fürth association achieved a record result. The P&P Group, as the operator of the FLAiR, made around 500 gifts possible over the Christmas period, ensuring many shining eyes. ‘This really rounds off the festivities,’ explained Velimir Filipović, General Manager of the FLAiR and therefore responsible for the property: ’Because together with our extremely helpful FLAiR customers, we bring a lot of joy with the packages in exactly the right place. Depending on the age group, these cover a huge range, from Playmobil figures and wooden toys to puzzles, books, board games, hats, scarves and hair accessories. The remaining gifts can still be handed in to the centre management until 4 January ‘The fact that we were able to increase the number of wishes fulfilled fivefold compared to last year is an impressive confirmation of the success of this campaign,’ says Filipović happily: ‘This allows us to do something effective for a group of adolescents who are particularly happy to receive such support.’ For General Manager Filipović, the success of the Wishing Tree campaign was also made possible thanks to the high footfall at the experience centre. More than 152,000 people visited FLAIR on the four Advent weekends in 2024 alone. That's almost 23,000 or 18 per cent more than the year before. With around 25,000 Christmas shoppers, the Saturday before the 3rd Advent was the peak day. This success was also made possible by the attractive openings of toy expert Smyths Toys and lingerie chain Nina von C a few weeks ago. ‘This attracted many new visitors to the centre, which not only benefited all the shops and restaurants, but also this Wishing Tree campaign,’ explains Filipović. FLAiR offers around 60 shops in total - with an attractive mix of national and international brands, regional tenants and a varied range of restaurants. The P&P Group took over the location in 2016, then built a completely new property by 2021 and developed it into a sought-after meeting place in Fürth city centre. The average number of visitors to FLAiR has now risen to more than 10,000 per day. Filipović sees further potential for growth in the first quarter of the new year. This is when the international restaurant brand KFC, the non-food discounter TEDi and an outlet of the organic fabrics and sewing accessories brand Albstoffe will open their new shops.
