HPS Home Power Solutions realigns its management team for further growth by appointing Stefan Kaufmann to the management board

Berlin, 02 May 2022 - HPS Home Power Solutions (HPS), the world's leading provider of year-round, green hydrogen-based electricity storage for buildings, today announced that it has restructured its management team. Stefan Kaufmann joined the company in March 2022 as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer. At the same time, Dr. Henrik Colell moved from the management board to head up a newly formed Strategy Division.

We are therefore delighted to announce that Stefan Kaufmann, an acclaimed expert in power storage systems, is joining our team. As head of the newly created Strategy division, Dr. Henrik Colell will now focus all efforts on shaping HPS' strategy for growth. He will continue to contribute his extensive industry knowledge and network."

Stefan Kaufmann has over 25 years of experience in the development and production of industrial products. After studying materials science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, he held various management positions in the semiconductor, medical technology and renewable energy sectors. He has worked for companies such as ABB Semiconductors, Komax Solar, Memmert, BigRep, and most recently the battery storage system manufacturer Senec, and has many years of experience in new business development. In his new role at HPS, he will have special responsibility for product development.

Dr. Henrik Colell is founder of HPS Home Power Solutions and was managing director until March 2022. In his new position as Head of Strategy, he will be responsible for setting up and building this area. He has extensive experience of building and expanding technology companies as well as in international business development. As one of the pioneers in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technology, he has in-depth knowledge of the sector and an excellent network of contacts in industry and research. He studied chemistry and physics at the Freie Universität Berlin and gained a PhD for his work on catalyst development for water electrolysis at the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB).
